Africa, and especially Ghana, is recognized to identify and develop some of the finest soccer talents around the world. Over the years, Ghana has developed and exported soccer talents who have graced the game’s beauty across all continents of the world, including the Fifa World cup. On the phase of European soccer, the country has been represented by soccer talents who have won major trophies, including the Champions League and the Fifa Club World Cup.
Soccer remains the most popular form of sporting activity in Ghana. The sports input generates benefits expanding beyond financial and economic outputs to cover elements of emotional satisfaction and settlement. Regardless of these benefits held by the soccer fatality and the exploits of talents in the country, identifying and grooming soccer talents in Ghana remains a challenge facing the sports.
Talents from the coast continue to be presented with limited opportunities to develop in the sports, stemming from a limited or unavailability of sporting equipment and mentorship figures. Together with the drive to bridge the gap in the identification and development of soccer talents, these challenges caught the dreams of the management of DOXA-H United Football Club. It becomes even more challenging for young talents who fall within broken homes or have had few educational opportunities. Being soccer enthusiasts themselves and having a clear understanding of the challenges facing the identification and development of soccer talents in Ghana, the club’s management were delighted by the inherent initiates of the concept – thus, the formation of DOXA-H United Football Club on the 20th of August 2016.
The primary location of the club is at Auntie Aku Kokompe, Santa Maria, in the Ga Central Region of Greater Accra. DOXA-H United Football club began with ten players, forming the club’s major Under-17 soccer team. Over the course, we have equipped our structures to establish various levels of team development – Under 13 and17. One significant development aspect the club is working at is establishing community ties for purposes of bringing the club closer to the doorstep of the community and organizing broader support to the object of DOXA-H United.
The club is a not-for-profit establishment, which is self-funded mainly through its members. Doxa-H United prides itself on developing football skills and talent with an impressive roster of the highly qualified management team and certified Coach. One of DOXA-H United’s development objectives is to follow an African soccer model with the adoption of some elements of European footballing style to bring the club’s players to par with the new trends of soccer management and playing style across the globe.

Doxa-H United Football Club is a Ghanaian football club located in the Greater Accra region of Ghana. It was founded in 2016 as an academy. The club, first affiliated with the central region football association in the second tier of the Ghana Football League system in 2017. The club moved its home to Accra to become a member of the Accra North District Football Association as a third tier in the Ghana Football League system. The club operates a team of young men, trained by Eric Ofori.
